Inspired by Hawaiian style downwind boards, the AXIS Downwind foilboard is a narrow, sleek design that features proven rocker lines and prominent chines. The tail to sinks easily and works in combination with the straight elongated outline, keeping the board tracking in a straight line and making paddling up onto foil far easier in any water state.
The AXIS Downwind foilboard is specifically designed for dedicated downwind enthusiasts. With an easier paddling experience, they are perfect for overcoming the biggest challenge of downwinding, getting up on the foil. In addition, the long skinny design provides a distinct advantage so even if you touch down, getting back up is a breeze thanks to the reduced drag resistance of the narrow outline. Above all, the take off is unparalleled due to the shape and rocket design.
Constructed with EPS cores, full carbon and a tough PVC sandwich layer on the top surface only, these boards are built to be light for optimised performance.
In short, a super high density foam block encases the mast tracks and is sandwiched between deck and bottom.
