The Armstrong X Foil Drive Integrated Masts redefine what’s possible with powered foiling. Unlike standard integrated systems this set up as purpose built to reduce drag and unlock a smooth arrive from take-off to touchdown.
For beginners, that means easier lift and no more sudden stalls when the motor pod hits the water. For advanced riders, it’s a seamless wave performance can glide through without experiencing drag or stopping abruptly unlike with standard designs were hitting the motor pad can cause you to bog.

Foil Assist – 185mm | 795mm
The 185 mm motor pod position hits the sweet spot for most foil-assisted disciplines, low drag, well-balanced and basically invisible once you’re on the foil. While some advanced rides prefer to mount it closer to the board, and beginners stretch it out to 220mm for extra margin, 185mm remains the goldilocks zone for everyday versatility.
Forward-set motor pod
Positioned further forward than typical motor mounts, the forward-set pod means the motor is as far forward as possible to reduce lifting torque and deliver smoother take-offs and touchdowns.
A+ System The Ultimate modular foil assembly system
Armstrong’s A+ system is proprietary foil assembly designs that join the mast, fuselage, front foil and stabiliser with a hexagonal tapered fit into the front foil. This design is incredibly strong and torsionally rigid and durable when combined with Armstrong’s material selection. Paired with premium titanium and stainless steel hardware, corrosion is minimised and the whole package has an industry-leading fit and finish.
TO TIER CONSTRUCTION – Ultimate precise feedback
Manufactured with Toray high modulus carbon fibre and finished to the same spec as Armstrong’s performance masts. This mast is built to handle real world torsional loads without flinching meaning you get high stiffness, low flex and ultra precise feedback whether you’re pumping through bumps or carving through sections.
